Test your aim on our outdoor Laser Clay Shooting course near the scenic Waiau River. This safe and fun activity is suitable for all skill levels, with training provided by our experienced experts.

Your laser clay shooting experience using decommissioned shot guns takes approximately 45 minutes, making this an affordable and time-efficient option for anyone aged 10 years and over, and the activity can also be combined with our other attractions for a full day of fun. It’s a great challenge for groups of any size: can you shoot down the most targets to beat the competition?

What you need to know

Our Laser Clay Shooting experience takes approximately 45 minutes.
A minimum age of 10 years applies
We supply all equipment including decommissioned shotguns, plastic clays and clay thrower. Please note our laser clay site is outdoors, so please dress warmly and bring a jacket if the weather is cooler.
Our onsite snack bar supplies drinks, ice creams, snacks, and light meals
Our health & safety practices have been assessed by independent outdoor safety experts and we are AdventureMark Safety Certified.
Please note a zero alcohol limit applies for this activity, and participants may be breath-tested.
Hanmer Springs Attractions reserves the right to refuse participation should any person be affected by medication, or any other substance such that they may be a risk to themselves or others.

Getting here

You’ll find us at 839 Hanmer Springs Road, just past the turnoff towards Hanmer Springs from State Highway 7 and just before the Waiau Ferry Bridge. There’s a large carpark with plenty of parking for cars, campervans, and coaches.

For your convenience, we offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off from most accommodation providers in Hanmer Springs on request. Please contact our reservations team at least 24 hours prior to your booking date to organise this service.

A must do for everyone, had alot more fun and experience that we thought we would.

We started with quad bikes, and best quad bikes we've done. The people are lovely and safety conscience. The quad trail leads through narrow gullies, fords shallow rivers and streams, through thickets and stony tracks. Great views all the way, exhilarating quad riding. Half time break gets cookies and water, while leisurely staring at the scenery.

My son and husband went bungy jumping and we then all went for a ride on the Jet boat. From the minute we walked in the staff where so helpful with a great sense of humour. The 2 staff that where operating theh bungy jump where so amazing answering all the questions we could throw at them. We where lucky enough to have the same guy driving the jet boat that was operating the bungy, great at telling a story and even better at driving the boat.
The cost of the activities is well worth it because the experiences are unforgettable.

Wow!.We did the Rafting and Jetboat Double Dare. Great Experience with very professional staff. Great communication when times of our experiences had to be adjusted due to weather forcast.
Rafting was great fun and easy on the Grade 2 rapids. Jumping off the rocks at one point was lots of fun. Jet boat ride back up the river to base was great.
Then full Jet Boat experience in the afternoon. Sit at the front if you can to have best view of ride and to be on camera view. Thank you team. Highly recommend.
