Test your aim and focus with our authentic Claybird Shooting experience, set against the stunning backdrop of the Waiau River and Hanmer Basin. Unlike laser systems, this is the real deal: you will be handling genuine shotguns and firing at flying clay targets under the guidance of our experienced shooting instructors.
Whether you are a seasoned shooter or have never held a gun before, our team will ensure you are comfortable and safe. It is the perfect adrenaline-pumping activity for Stag dos, work parties, birthdays, or just a competitive day out with friends.

Clothing: We are an outdoor venue. Please dress warmly and wear sturdy footwear. We recommend bringing a jacket even on sunny days as the weather can change quickly.
Sobriety: Strict Zero Alcohol & Drug Policy. As this activity involves live firearms, safety is paramount. Participants suspected of being under the influence will be refused entry with no refund.
Equipment: We supply all firearms (real shotguns), ammunition, clay targets, and ear/eye protection.
Health & Safety: All sessions are supervised by qualified range officers. We are AdventureMark Safety Certified.
You’ll find us at 839 Hanmer Springs Road, just past the turnoff towards Hanmer Springs from State Highway 7 and just before the Waiau Ferry Bridge. There’s a large carpark with plenty of parking for cars, campervans, and coaches.
For your convenience, we offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off from most accommodation providers in Hanmer Springs on request. Please contact our reservations team at least 24 hours prior to your booking date to organise this service.
